first_imgThe Nova Scotia Teachers Union (NSTU), representing teachers inthe public schools of the province, and the Department ofEducation opened negotiations on a new Teachers’ ProvincialAgreement today, April 27, at 9:30 a.m. Education Minister Jamie Muir and NSTU president Mary-LouDonnelly expressed optimism the talks would produce an agreementin the best interest of public education in Nova Scotia. As before, the parties have agreed to keep their discussionsconfidential until the talks have concluded. The current provincial agreement expires July 31. -30-last_img
