This is ACU’s second consecutive honor after junior Josh Sheehy won the award Jan. 30. With the team match tied at 3-3 against Air Force and down 1-0 at No. 6 singles, Holman battled back to take the next two sets 6-2, 6-3 to claim the game-winning point for Abilene Christian. Holman had secured the doubles point for the Wildcats with teammate Cole Lawson at the No. 3 slot earlier in the dual match, defeating the Falcons’ Luke Sanderson and Paul Hendrix 6-4. The senior from Dallas headed into the match having already defeated Oral Roberts’ Eddie Leardini at No. 5 singles 6-1, 6-2 and besting Leardini and Alvaro Santamaria in doubles action 6-3 that day. Holman went 4-0 across the Wildcats’ (8-5) two matches Saturday to lead the team to a 2-0 day at home. ACU defeated Oral Roberts 5-2 before snagging the 4-3 win over Air Force.
